You tutor every week.
Bill every week.

A session is a service, and services are what fuime sells.

Start your business

5% of collections, minimum 50¢. Nothing until a session sells.

Under 18? A guardian signs once and holds the account; you teach.

How tutoring gets paid now

The hour is professional. The payment is not.

A hallway

You teach an hour. Then you stand there while somebody looks for a phone.

Six sessions deep

Nobody ever sent a bill, so the total is now big enough to make a client flinch.

The rate never moved

Raising it means saying a new number out loud, in a doorway, to someone already paying.

A link, not a conversation

One page that names the price.

A named offer, your price

Anywhere from $1 to $10,000, at /pay/<business>/<offer>, and it survives a rename.

A storefront for the rest

/b/<business> lists everything you sell, so a client can find the two-hour block.

Stripe-hosted checkout

No card details reach you or a chat thread. Sales are USD only.

What a payment link does

The weekly student

Bill the standing slot without asking.

Set it on the offer

The same offer can bill monthly or yearly, at the amount you publish.

Renewals post themselves

Each month lands as its own ledger line, with its own fee line and receipt.

A client cannot cancel it

They email support@fuime.com and a person ends it. Say so before you set one up.

A refund gives the fee back

Refunding a month posts a reversal and rebates fuime's fee in proportion.

Questions

What a tutor asks first.

Can I sell tutoring on fuime?

Yes. A session is a service, and a worksheet pack or a recorded walkthrough is a digital good. Childcare and babysitting are excluded, and so are physical goods, food and crafts.

What does an hour of tutoring cost me?

5% of what you collect, with a 50¢ floor. It is a floor, not an additive fee: on a block you price at $400 the fee is $20.00, not $20.50.

Card processing of about 2.9% + 30¢ is paid by fuime out of that 5%, never added to your side. Anything outside the standard rate is a conversation with sales. The full breakdown.

Who is the student's family buying from?

Ninth Street Labs, LLC, doing business as Fuime, is the seller of record, and Stripe processes the card. What you hold is a claim on fuime for what you earned, not a balance.

Why that matters.

When does the money for a term reach me?

Payout runs are generated weekly and a person approves every one before anything moves. The policy is a 7-day hold, a 10% rolling reserve over 90 days, a $2,500 cap per run and a $10 floor.

Every operator skipped in a run gets a stated reason. There is no automated rail and no promised date.

Do I have to be 18 to tutor for money?

No. From 13 up, a parent or legal guardian accepts a versioned agreement and becomes the account holder and legal payee; you run the tutoring. Under 13 is refused at signup.

Nobody's identity is verified. The signature IP, user-agent, timestamp and document version are recorded, and that is the whole of it.

What happens at tax time?

fuime totals income, expenses and net for the year against the IRS $400 self-employment threshold. Schedule SE multiplies net earnings by 92.35% first, so the real trigger is $433.14 of net profit.

It is an estimator: it does not touch checkout, calculate sales tax, or file anything. What it counts.

Can I raise my rate?

You set every price and change it whenever you like. fuime has no suggested rate, no recommended range and nowhere to store one. It will never tell you what your hour is worth.

Where this stops

Four things fuime will not do.

It will not chase anybody

You still send the link and follow up, but an unpaid invoice costs you nothing.

Nobody is verified

Age is a self-attested checkbox, and no document is ever held.

Not a tax service

It estimates your income tax position. It files nothing, and none of it is advice.

USD, and the United States

English only. A client abroad or a second currency is outside what fuime does.
